Description

If you're looking for the quintessential mountain retreat, your search is over. This three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home is located three-quarters of a mile from the base of Thunderhead lift. Surrounded by tall spruce and shimmering aspens, this home overlooks Burgess Creek and is on a wildlife thoroughfare. It's the perfect place to be in the middle of things and at the same time, away from everything. Plus, this home is pet friendly!

The main living room with a dual sided fireplace, shared by the kitchen and dining areas, open floor plan with dramatic vaulted ceilings, and wood floors beckons you to walk in and relax. A large flat screen TV, oversized leather sofa, love seat, and chair will make you feel like you are right at home. The upper deck, with gas grill and table, can be accessed from the living room.

You may decide the fully remodeled kitchen is your favorite room in the house! With black granite counter tops, beautiful wood cabinetry, black and stainless appliances, plenty of pots, pans, baking ware and more, this kitchen is well stocked with all the gadgets one could need. There is also plenty of seating for everyone. The large wood dining table seats eight and there are three bar stools at the kitchen island. There is a powder room in between the living room and kitchen.

Upstairs is a cozy sitting area and small office, just in case you can't leave work behind. The master bedroom is also located on this floor. It has a beautiful king bed, flat screen TV, vaulted ceilings, and a private en suite bathroom. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, one with a queen bed and large walk in closet, the other with two twin beds and large walk in closet. The 3/4 bathroom for these bedrooms is just across the hall that also has a new washer and dryer in it.

In addition to the two bedrooms, the lower floor of the house also has a cozy second living room with large flat screen TV, pot belly gas stove, leather sleeper sofa and comfy chairs. The best part about this space however, is the lower level deck - home to your private hot tub and walkway Burgess Creek and the surrounding wooded area. You will never see stars like the ones you will see relaxing in this space!

This home also has several other great amenities, including a 2 vehicle carport, racks between the car port and the house where you can hang all your gear, and an entryway mudroom loaded with plenty of hooks and a bench for anything that needs to be stored indoors.

The Burgess Creek Lodge was fantastic! Great master suite on the top floor, comfortable sleeping for 5 others on the bottom floor. Kitchen/dining area was open and easy to use; we appreciated all the supplies in the kitchen cupboard for us to use. The grandkids loved the hot tub and dipping into the stream before getting back in the hot tub. What a lovely property by the stream!
Minor concerns: the faucet of the master bathroom sink needs to be securely fastened down, and the handle for the hot water at that sink has a tiny leak. There was no lock on the hot tub cover, but maybe that was deliberately left off. It would be helpful to have written instructions for how to operate the TV's and their control boxes.

Beautiful lodge with an incredible setting. The creek runs right through the backyard and you can hear it as you sit out on the upper and lower patio. We had young kids with us and they loved being able to walk to the creek and relax in the hot tub. Staff was super helpful with ideas of what to do and where to eat based on ages of guests. Property is quick driving distance from gondola, hot springs, farmer's market, and much more. Open living and kitchen areas allowed us room to eat as a big group, but everyone had their own sleeping space. We felt right at home and got help whenever we needed. Would highly recommend!

House was great. Location is absolutely awesome in regards to Burgess Creek flowing through the backyard. What a peaceful place to unwind in the evening. Space in house was great for our family of 5 - the second living area was so nice to have. A few kinks - the hot tub cover is broken and the clothes dryer start button won’t consistently work, but other than that the house was great for our needs! We’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Burgess Creek Lodge for 5 nights. It's perfect for families, and there is great privacy from the upstairs bedroom and downstairs bedrooms. Nicely decorated and comfortable. the only downside is there are Definity some areas of wear and tear. I see in the review from 2021 that one of the burners on the stove doesn't work. It's actually missing the plate that covers the gas burner. It's now 6 months later, and it still hasn't been repaired. There is a leak in the kitchen ceiling that really needs to be addressed. Retreatia was very helpful in getting maintenance to respond quickly and fix the leak at least for the duration of our stay. The complementary shuttle made us feel like VIPs! the house is pet friendly, but we have to jump in the car every morning to take our lab over to an area where he can walk around to relieve himself. Just up the street is an area with lots of trails, summer and winter, but the house is on a busy street and a hill which makes it hard for a dog to go out, so we drove up there a couple times a day. overall, our stay was great, the pictures are accurate, the fireplace is awesome. The hot tub has great jets but could use some TLC. We gave 4 stars mainly due to the Maintenace response and extras provided by Retreatia, like shuttle and front desk support, otherwise it would have been 3 stars. A bit of upkeep is definitely needed.

The house was very spacious and clean. The kitchen stove has a broken burner and the washing machine did not work. Management came and gave us new towels promptly and were very nice. The property is on a steep hill with a beautiful stream behind it but not optimal for our large dog as there is no flat area to relieve himself. The bathrooms were nice with excellent water pressure.

A bit dated underneath, but worked well for our group. Be ready for lots of stairs! Small, unfenced, limited yard for dog, but excellent setting!

The space worked well for our group. We only came across one issue -- the hot tub had an error message about a filter needing to be changed. I'm sure the host will be able to fix it this week during business days.
