Description

A great unit, close to slopes with fantastic amenities. This beautifully remodeled condo will ensure a comfortable and worry free vacation. This is a large 1 bedroom plus an additional den, 2 full bathrooms on the second floor. The kitchen features new granite counter tops and hickory cabinets. Stocked with all needed for that perfect family meal, it will not disappoint. Also included for your convenience is a ski locker and one of the few Rockies properties that has an in unit washer and dryer. Without a doubt, this ski condo will fit your family perfectly.

The living area, features leather furniture, including sleeper sofa and love seats. The focal point is the gas fireplace, mellow and cozy for the whole family to gather around. There is a large balcony off the living area with views of the beautiful Yampa Valley and Emerald Mountain. The first bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed with attached nice granite/ tile bathroom and flat screen TV. The large master bedroom is at the end. The full bathroom is right across the hall with beautiful granite counter tops.

The complex is just 400 yards to the Ski Base Area/Gondola Square (5 minute walk) and features large heated pool, 2 hot tubs, gas BBQ grilling area, very large parking lot and yard. During the summer, there is a sand volleyball court on the back.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CARS ALLOWED: 1 per unit only. No trailers allowed!

*As of 2023/2024 Ski Season, this unit will have access to a 5 person Ski Locker located at the Gondola Base. The ski locker will be able to fit 5 pairs for skis or snowboards and it comes with boot dryers as well.

I’ll start with the good: this condo has a great, very walkable location. We were told when we booked thru Central Resevrations, there was a ski shuttle to the base. Come to find out, there isn’t. Thankfully the walk is very easy so we didn’t have to take the city bus (which is fine but makes multiple stops). The condo was clean and had a washer dryer.
The cons: this condo is tiny for a family of 5. There’s one dresser and one closet (which is filled with owner things like a car seat?) the second bedroom has no dresser or closet, but there’s also no floor space if you want to live out of your suitcase. There’s no kitchen table at all. Which I didn’t even think about until we got there. So if you’re eating, you are on the couch or standing up. Plus you don’t realize how much stuff you just walk in and set on a table. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and this was way too tight for us even when we were gone all day skiiing. It could definitely use some general updating- the lighting is very dark.

Where to start...First of all, thank you so much for your graciousness to let us spend the week in your condo! We don't have the words to fully describe how much fun we had throughout the week. Walks along the river, hiking, rafting, rodeo, hot air balloons, wonderful restaurants...all were things we enjoyed during our stay. This was out first trip to Colorado, which was also our first wedding anniversary. The hospitality that y'all showed us, in opening your condo to us, truly made this one of the most memorable trips that we have been on over the last 20 years!! Again, we appreciate all that you did to make this possible.

Our family had a spectacular time and loved the convenience to the mountain, restaurants and all that Steamboat has to offer.
