The Continental Divide Trail Run returns for its 29th running on August 29, 2026. Known as one of Colorado’s premier mountain races, this Steamboat Springs Running Series event begins at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort and climbs toward the top of Mt. Werner and the Continental Divide.
Runners can expect challenging ascents, winding aspen groves, summer wildflowers, and sweeping alpine views along the way. The event offers three race distances: 50K, 16M, and 5M.
The race is part of the Steamboat Springs Running Series, a local 501(c)(3) organization that hosts 11 races throughout the season.
