The 15th annual Yampa Valley Crane Festival celebrates the Greater Sandhill Cranes of Northwest Colorado with four days of guided crane viewings, bird walks, expert speakers, live raptor programs, films, family activities, and more. Events take place throughout Steamboat Springs, Hayden, and Craig.
Featured speakers include Anne Lacy of the International Crane Foundation, author and photographer Noah Strycker, birding expert Ted Floyd, naturalist Sandra Noll, wildlife biologist Van Graham, and Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition Executive Director Meg Karschner.
Registration opens in mid-July 2026.
