Great stay, plenty of room for us. Parking was easy (rare for steamboat) and the house was very clean. Only downside was the broken hot tub that wasn’t disclosed until after we booked. Fix that hot tub and you’ve got yourself a perfect Airbnb!

This home is just remarkable in so many ways. We were well acquainted with Steamboat Springs from previous stays, and we knew that we wanted to be in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood in town -- rather than in the ski area. Our mid-October stay was perfect -- amazing weather and great colors and so much to do -- but without the number of summer or winter visitors. We did a lot, and to have this house to come home to was a bit of heaven on earth. Hats off to the owners for all they have done to give this historic house a phenomenal remodel -- but while keeping the Craftsman charm and adding a dream kitchen and an unbelievable master suite. Many thanks to the hosts for sharing this very special place with my family. We felt very blessed to be there.
We are grateful too to Jacquelin at Retreatia for being so great to work with. I had a couple of questions at the move-in, and she was extremely personable and happy to help. It's always easy to appreciate service like that.

We had a fantastic stay in Steamboat. After a long drive there was a bit of a surprise in that there was no A/C (I understand this isn’t standard issue) BUT the home owner had plenty of fans to make directional airflow. With the cool night temperatures all was right. This wouldn’t haven’t been possible without the attention to detail by the property owner. Check-in process was seamless. We received a callback when informing management that we might be later than office hours (thank you for the note in our email to remind us to do this). In the end this was a fantastic way to see Steamboat all while being able to walk to the Main Street.

Two sisters and a brother and our spouses stayed here for several days for my daughter’s wedding at Alpine Mountain Ranch. It was the perfect place for a family gathering. The kitchen was huge and had every appliance and gadget and pot and pan one could dream of. Only thing lacking were enough wine glasses for 8 of us. The house is very spacious with room to spread out to check our phones, do a little reading, or watching 1 of 3 TVs. I do wish instructions would come with the remotes though, for the tech challenged! The gardens and lilacs were beautiful and well maintained. So easy to walk a few blocks to Lincoln, the rodeo, and so many restaurants and bars, but I didn’t feel like leaving home at all with food prep being so easy in that kitchen. The bathrooms were gorgeous, spacious and updated. Not en suite, but not far from the bedrooms they serviced. The basement bath was also beautiful but there should be a king size bed down there rather than a sofa. It would make a wonderful MBR.

It is a lovely beautifully renovated craftsman house. The location is on a wonderful quiet street and an easy walk to all the shops and restaurants in town. It was wonderful for our group of 9 family members to gather. The large kitchen is well stocked and great for preparing family meals together. The dining room sat all 9 of us for meals and family games together. The outdoor deck is pleasant with a propane grill, table w six chairs and hot tub. The house was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the 3 off street parking spots on the driveway, including one in the garage. We would stay there again!

Property is early 20th century property with original floor woodwork and built ins. Carefully restored with new modern ktichen and bathrooms.. Very well done.

Beautiful huge house right downtown. Tons of space. We were in town for a friends memorial and it was a great place to gather. House has everything you need. Only note is that you have to stop by the rental office to pick up and drop off keys which was kind of an inconvenience compared to having a lock box at the house. Would rent the same place again however.

Pros Location!! House is a short walk to downtown, with access to shops, restaurants, grocery, etc. It was great to leave the car behind. House is very spacious, spread out over three levels. It allowed for a hang out space for teens (basement level) and separate area for adults. Plenty of bedroom/bathrooms to fit our needs. Kitchen was fully stocked. We cooked a lot of our own meals and the kitchen had all we needed. Cons The furniture needs some updating. Couches and chairs have been well loved; no cushion left on them. Outside chairs are beginning to tear. Thus, all spaces throughout the house need new pieces. The master bedroom needs a King size bed for the tall(er) guests. The bedroom is very spacious and can easily accommodate it. The non-stick cookware is really worn out, and even flaking off the Teflon coating. Overall, it was a great stay. Adults and teens alike really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay again, especially if the above listed items have been addressed.

The house was clean, very spacious, and a short walk into town. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook in some nights, and the hot tub was clean and really hot - perfect after a day on the slopes. This was the perfect getaway for our group to do some Steamboat Spring skiing. Thank you!

Great location a few blocks from downtown Steamboat as well as walking distance to connections to the Spring Creek trail. Our family of grandparents, adult children and small grandchildren were well-accommodated both indoors and out. The house and yard are well-kept and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. We would definitely recommend this home to other extended families.

House met all our expectations. It was great , lots of room for our extended family of 13. No feeling crowded with multiple sitting areas and spacious bathrooms. Enjoyed the hot tub. The house was perfect for our 50th anniversary family celebration. The kitchen was well equipped and large enough for a group gathering while cooking. The location is near downtown, and we walked to restaurants and other attractions. It was convenient to biking trails, river rafting and shopping. Retreatia responded quickly to our request for fans. It was a warm week, but the temperature dropped nicely after dark. We highly recommend Steamboat and this home.

We stayed a week here in July. This house is right downtown. Great for walking to anything: the rodeo, the art festival, the river to tube, restaurants. Also great location for all the Emerald trails if you are a mountain biker. The trails start right behind the rodeo grounds and are wonderful. Lots of room (we had 8 adults, 5 kids) when pull out couches are used. Kitchen is up to date and very nice. Rest of house is in great shape too. Outdoor hottub on the deck was a real hit at night too. Price was good too. Overall an excellent experience.

Although Steamboat Springs is known for its skiing this home proved to be great for a summer vacation. The property was clean and well maintained, downtown and the photos truly reflected the the appearance. The deck with hot tub and grill was very nice and the lawn/landscaping were beautiful.We had our whole family, 6 adults, 4 children 8 to 17, and there was plenty of room for all. There were plenty of summer activities/attractions and being within walking distance of downtown with all its shops and restaurants was a big plus. We did whitewater rafting, paddle boarding, golf, dinner horseback ride, alpine slide and general sightseeing. The property managers with Retreatia were very helpful and I would recommend this home to anyone wanting to vacation in Steamboat.

My husband and I were looking for a break from the heat and humidity of our Florida summer and what a terrific surprise to find this property!! This house is really just like home! It has a brand new well equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and spa-like bathes. The comfortable living and dining areas can accommodate a big crowd, but my husband loved the 4 flat screen TVs located strategically throughout the house. The bed linens and towels are sumptuous. The house as well as the yard, hot tub and back deck are immaculate! The downtown location made it so easy to access all the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment with a 5 minute walk to the main street in charming Steamboat Springs. We loved this happy, special little town with so many activities available: hiking, biking, tubing, rafting! We found many delicious restaurants. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. We would recommend this property without reservation.

We rented this wonderful home to celebrate a birthday and have a great weekend away with our friends. We had 12 adults in the house and there was plenty of room. The home was very well cared for and the location is unbeatable. We will definitely be back!

THIS PROPERTY WAS GREAT FOR OUR FAMILY OF 10 ADULTS AND ONE 12 YEAR OLD. THE PHOTOS WERE VERY HELPFUL IN DECEIDING WHAT WE WANTED. THEY REFLECTED THE PROPERTTY PERFECTLY. IT WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED AND HAD ALL THE AMENITIES THAT WE NEEDED INCLUDING A WELL SUPPLIED KITCHEN. THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT WAS VERY HELPFUL TO FULLFILL ALL OF OUR NEEDS. SNOW REMOVAL WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANOR AND KEPT THE PROPERTY ACCESSIBLE. THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS ADORABLE AND ALL OTHER PROPERTIES WERE LOVELY AND WELL KEPT . TRANSPORTATION OF FREE CITY BUS IS 3 BLOCKS AWAY WITH FEQUENT STOPS TO THE BASE, GROCERY STORE AND BACK.

We decided to rent this downtown home this year, and what a great surprise, this home was outstanding! The kitchen had everything and more, so much space for everyone, the hot tub was a nice touch. We had a blast! Some of us are not skiers, so the location worked out perfectly since they walked anywhere downtown, did lots of shopping, enjoyed the local restaurants and bars. The rest of us hopped on the free city bus and went up to the slopes. We loved the private hot tub and grill! The kids loved the back yard and played a lot in the snow. Great set up, I will recommend this home to anyone, we usually do not have high expectations, because we have to compromise something, with so many people in the family... but this time we had it all! Thank you for everything Michael and Erin. You made our trip one to remember!

We were ecstatic when we arrived at this house. We were a family group with four adults, four kids, and two dogs and looking for a comfortable place to accommodate skiers and non-skiers. The house is situated in a friendly neighborhood and is beautifully landscaped. While it's on a small piece of land, we felt like we were in our own private oasis. Our initial concern about easy access to the mountain was quickly alleviated when we saw that a regularly operating shuttle bus stopped at the end of the street (less than a five minute walk in full ski gear). We also discovered that being downtown meant that the non-skiers could stroll along the main street and also had immediate access to several hiking trails with breathtaking views. We were more than impressed by the size of the bedrooms, condition of the linens, fully stocked kitchen with high-end appliances, and the spa-like bathrooms. We took full advantage of the outdoor areas of the house -- cocktails on the quaint front porch and après ski hot tubbing on the large back porch. The media system in the house was excellent (although it took a while for us to figure it out). The lower level was paradise for our teens -- a separate media center with seating, beds, and bathroom suite (yes, a suite that is nicer than most hotels). We cannot wait to visit again -- next time without kids and all of our friends!
