Also, take advantage of the core trail which goes throughout Steamboat too. Bring your bike and have some fun!

Fly Fishing

The Yampa River is one of the last free-flowing rivers in the western United States. It runs through downtown Steamboat offering miles of public water that holds beautiful trout and other fish species. Contact our sales team to learn more about guide services and fly fishing opportunities.

Hiking & Camping

Bring your hiking boots and camping gear. Steamboat Springs has a number of trails for all skill levels. The Rocky Mountains will give you everything you are looking for including hiking, camping and breathtaking views.

Steamboat Golf Club - Since being established in 1964, The Steamboat Golf Club has remained a treasure in The Yampa Valley.  With generous fairways, small target greens, and challenging shots, a round here will satisfy even the most discriminating player. The 9- hole course borders the Yampa River featuring beautiful views of the valley and Steamboat ski mountain. Free Warm-up cages and a chipping & putting green are available on site. Make time to enjoy lunch or a cold beverage on our scenic creekside deck.  The Steamboat Golf Club is family oriented and an affordable option to enjoy a round of golf in the valley. Typically playing in 2 hours or less, it’s an easy way to play and get on with your day.

Haymaker Golf Course - This course is a 233-acre city-owned public golf course that features at least four sets of tees per hole, playing from 5,059 to 7,308 yards. It has been described as a core golf course built for golfers. There is no residential development, no distractions except for the broad vistas of the Yampa Valley and Mount Werner. The course offers good green size with different cupping positions. It also has a substantial practice area – driving range, sand trap, chipping and putting green. Haymaker accommodates and challenges golfers of all ability levels from novice to professional.

One of the oldest standing traditions is the Steamboat Rodeo located downtown located off Yampa Street. This rodeo brings in some of the best cowboy and cowgirls from around the world. There is something for the whole family at the rodeo. Also, you can have dinner at their amazing BBQ. The Steamboat rodeo takes place on weekends all summer long.
