Description

This second floor, end unit at The Rockies is the perfect place for your next ski vacation. Newly updated with an expanded kitchen, butcher block counters, laminate flooring, and all new paint, it is the true definition of mountain modern.

After a day outdoors, you'll be happy to kick back on the comfy sleeper sofa or arm chairs while you watch a movie on the large, flat screen TV or just enjoy the flickering light of the fire. In summer, head out to your private deck and enjoy a cocktail while you watch the sun set over Emerald Mountain. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a snack or gourmet meal, and there is plenty of seating for all at the dining table. The open layout make this unit feel larger than it is, and the natural light flowing in from the sliding glass doors provides the perfect ambiance. The master bedroom has a brand new king bed, new, cozy linens and a flat screen TV. The bathroom is just outside in the hallway with a tub/shower and plenty of counter space.

A private ski locker is located just outside the front door. The complex has heated pool ( open in summer and winter) and 2 hot tubs. The small clubhouse has space to relax and light fitness equipment. There are also coin operated washers and dryers for your use. During the summer there are grills outside as well as a sand volleyball court .

This condo is about 100 feet from the Steamboat Bus route for quick and easy access to the ski area and downtown. It is walking distance to Gondola Square, the Tennis Center, Strings Music Festival pavilion, and Wildhorse Marketplace (food, movie theaters and bars), making this an ideal location for a car free stay. During summer, enjoy the easy stroll to the Steamboat Ski Area promenade where creekside fun awaits with the Gondola Fun Zone, restaurants, shops, free concerts, movie nights and art exhibits in addition to miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.

Overall the unit was the perfect size for what we needed. While the unit can accommodate 4 adults with a sleeper sofa, that would make for some cozy living if for more than a day or two. The unit was nicely updated, clean and well stocked. Location was easy to get around and close to the ski resort and only a couple miles to downtown. We did walk the river trail from the condo one day to downtown and took the free bus back which drops off right outside the unit. Very convenient. Pool area was small, but nice and one hot tub in the shade in the summer was awesome. As others have noted the ski locker is right outside the door. Great value!

This was a nice, well maintained, quiet, and clean vacation apartment. The pool and hot tub were great amenities for an afternoon swim and for relaxing after a long hike.

The unit was just as it was described. It was comfortable for the most part. The king size bed is a firm mattress which for us was a little too firm, but we managed. Otherwise the unit had all the amenities that we needed for cooking as well as relaxing. It was easy to check in and check out. We were in close proximity to shopping center for food and meals and easy to get to the downtown area.

This is a fantastic place, it is cute, 10 yards to the bus stop and has a ski locker just outside the door. It has everything you need. I only recommend they get a hair dryer for guests!

Great staff! Would have liked a hair dryer, some salt and pepper, and a dish scrubber since we did decide to cook. Otherwise the room had all we needed.

Our stay at Retreatia fit the bill for a simple, clean place to stay for the weekend at a reasonable price. The staff are all super friendly and helpful! Would have liked a hair dryer and a way to wash pots and pans in the sink. There was dish soap but no scrubbers. A humidifier was a nice amenity since the air is so dry. Very easy to get to and from the mountain and downtown.
