The Yampa River Festival, the flagship event of Friends of the Yampa, is an annual celebration of the Yampa River that brings together members of the local community. As the festival approaches its 43rd year, the organizers are closely monitoring the water levels to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
The success of the festival is a testament to the passion and dedication of the river enthusiasts, partners, and supporters who have contributed to its growth over the years. This year, the organizers are committed to following all safety guidelines while inviting river enthusiasts to join them in celebrating the Yampa River Festival from June 1-4, 2023, with the main event taking place on Saturday, June 3.
The Fish Creek Kayak Race will honor the memory of previous board member Adam Mayo, while the Downriver Raft Race will be held in honor of Drew Hyde. The organizers look forward to seeing everyone on the river for this special occasion.
